Athlete’s foot, jock itch, pityriasis and ringworm are fungal infections closely related. These infections are usually seen in people with weak immune systems. They can spread through skin-to-skin contact.

Ciclopirox Olamine contains ‘ciclopirox olamine’, which is used in the treatment of fungal skin infections. It blocks certain enzymes that are essential for the growth of infectious organisms (fungi), thus leading to a decrease in infection and improving the symptoms.

Ciclopirox Olamine should be used as recommended by your doctor. Do not use it for more than the prescribed period. Consult your doctor if your condition does not improve or worsen after four weeks of treatment. Some people may experience itching, irritation or burning sensation at the application site. Most of these side effects of Ciclopirox Olamine do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

Ciclopirox Olamine should be avoided if allergic to it. Directions for Use

The topical dosage forms of this medicine are cream, lotion, gel, nail lacquer and shampoo. Cream/Gel/Lotion: Your doctor will prescribe the recommended dose to be applied for your skin condition. Before applying Ciclopirox Olamine, clean and dry the affected area. Apply the medication to the infected skin and allow it to dry. Then, gently rub the medication. Make sure the medicine does not enter your eyes or mouth. Wash your hands before and after using the medication. Please do not use any bandage or dressing after applying the medication unless prescribed by your doctor, as it may worsen the infection. Nail lacquer: Use it as advised by your doctor. Before using, try to trim your nails. Use the brush attached to the cap of the container to apply the solution to the affected areas of the nails and toes. Shampoo: Use it as advised by your doctor. Before using, wet your hair with water and then take the prescribed amount of the shampoo on hand. Apply the shampoo to your scalp, rub it to form a foam, and then rinse it with water.
